5. Section 4-106 Confirmation Hearing – A hearing conducted pursuant to Home Rule Charter Sec. 4-106(4) to consider the confirmation of Howard “Trey” Nobles, III as the Director of the Department of Property Management. The deadline for Council action is April 30, 2024.

Motion No. M-24-141 By: Councilmember Morrell – Establishing Rule 58 of City Council Rules and Regulations to provide standards and guidelines relative to Council legal representation, to provide rules and procedures relative to the disclosure of certain privileged documents, and to make corresponding amendments to existing Rule 28, which governs the priority of ancillary procedural motions.
7. Motion No. M-24-121 By: Councilmember Morrell (By Request) – Authorizing the Council President to sign the professional services agreement between the City and Transcendent Law Group, LLC to conduct a confidential investigation involving an office supervised by the Ethics Review Board.
8. Ord. Cal. No. 34,621 By: Councilmembers Morrell and Moreno – An Ordinance to amend and reordain Chapter 150 of the Code of the City of New Orleans to add Section 150-54 providing for an ad valorem tax exemption of two thousand five hundred dollars of the assessed valuation of property receiving the homestead exemption that is owned and occupied by a qualified first responder; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.
9. Motion No. M-24-130 By: Councilmember Moreno (By Request) – Authorizing the Council President to sign the subrecipient agreement between the City and Louisiana Green Corps to provide green job training to disadvantaged workers in New Orleans. To Appear: Jeffrey Schwartz, Office of Economic Development
10. Motion No. M-24-138 By: Councilmember Harris (By Request) – Authorizing the Council President to sign the subrecipient agreement between the City and Rooted School Foundation to implement a guaranteed basic income pilot for 800 public high school students in New Orleans. 11. Motion No. M-24-151 By: Councilmembers Thomas and King (By Request) – Authorizing the Council President to sign the professional services agreement between the City and Rice Group LLC to provide legal services relating to the Municipal Police Employees Retirement System (MPERS) matter.
