Economic Development and Special Development Projects Committee
The Economic Development and Special Development Projects Committee reviews proposed economic development projects in which the City intends to become involved and invested. The committee examines the economic justification of the City's proposed involvement, the project's compliance with the City's disadvantaged business enterprise (DBE) participation requirements, the development's commitment to local and equal opportunity employment, as well as the relative benefits and risks to the City and the developer. The committee also monitors projects currently in development in which the City has an interest and works with key area stakeholders in the economic development field to facilitate communication on economic development projects.
