4.  Ordinance Cal. No 33,858 (Introduced September 1, 2022) By: Councilmembers Giarrusso, Moreno, Green and Thomas (By Request)

This Ordinance amends Ordinance No. 28,863 M.C.S., as amended, to adjust General Fund appropriations to various departments, offices, and agencies; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

DescriptionTransferring $40,089,000 within personal services and other operating of departments, offices, and agencies to adjust the General Fund appropriations:

Transfer funds from Personal Services:  Chief Administrative Office ($2,765,000); Department of Safety & Permits ($1,770,000); Department of Police ($30,209,000); Department of Human Services ($1,332,000); Department of Civil Service ($443,000); Department of Public Works ($1,977,000); City Planning Commission ($719,000); Department of Finance ($688,000); and the Department of Law ($186,000).

Transfer those funds to Personal Services and Other Operating:  The Mayor ($1,533,000); Chief Administrative Office ($8,489,000); Coroner's Office ($496,000); Clerk of Criminal District Court ($25,000); Department of Finance ($1,799,000); Department of Fire ($5,186,000); Department of Health ($3,152,000); Department of Police ($1,215,000); Department of Property Management ($117,000); Department of Public Works ($2,950,000); Department of Safety & Permits ($77,000); Department of Sanitation ($10,726,000); District Attorney's Office ($806,000); Historic District Landmarks Commission ($45,000); Judicial Retirement ($4,000); Juvenile Court ($99,000); Miscellaneous Programs ($2,445,000); Mosquito, Termite & Rodent Control Board ($825,000); Office of Inspector General ($85,000); and the Vieux Carre Commission ($15,000).

6.  Ordinance Cal. No 33,847 (Introduced September 1, 2022) By: Councilmember King

This Ordinance amends Ordinance No. 28,862 M.C.S., as amended, to adjust budgets for the New Orleans Police Department, Department of Public Works, Chief Administrative Office, and the Department of Public Safety in the French Quarter Economic Development District Trust Fund; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Description:  Transferring $780,450 from Intergovernmental Revenues to Special Revenues and Trust Funds (French Quarter Economic Development District Trust Fund) for adjustments of departments. 

7.  Ordinance Cal. Nos 33,855 and 33,856 (Introduced September 1, 2022) By:  Councilmember Morrell

These Ordinances amend Ordinance Nos. 28,862 M.C.S., and 28,863 M.C.S as amended, entitled “An Ordinance Providing an Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the City of New Orleans for the Year 2022”; to appropriate funds to the New Orleans City Council to fund the New Orleans Recreation and Culture Fund, a merit-based grant program to fund not-for-profit community organizations, youth recreation organizations, and select culture bearers that contribute substantially to the well-being, development, and growth of the New Orleans community; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Description Transferring 7,000,000 from Intergovernmental Transfers to the New Orleans Recreation and Culture Fund Balance via the City Council (Other Operating) for the well-being, development, and growth of the citizens of New Orleans and its community.
