5. Presentation – Healing Minds NOLA Initiative, including its Mission and Collaborative Partnerships. Presented by Janet Hays, Founder and the Honorable Judge Kern Reese, Orleans Parish Civil District Court.
6. Ord. Cal. No. 35,341 – By: Councilmember King (By Request) An ordinance to authorize the Mayor of the City of New Orleans to enter into Amendment No. 4 to a previously executed Cooperative Endeavor Agreement (“CEA”) between the City of New Orleans (the “City”), and Healing Minds Nola relative to the public purpose of supporting the New Orleans Assisted Outpatient Treatment (“AOT”) program’s ability to coordinate physicians to conduct mental health evaluations for prospective AOT participants in compliance with the Louisiana Revised Statutes 28:66 et seq., and to compensate physicians for same by operating the AOT programs through the Orleans Parish Civil District Court and working to connect people in need of mental health treatment to appropriate resources through case management and court supervision; to modify the provisions thereof and extend the term thereof for one (1) additional year, as more fully set forth in the Amendment No. 4 form attached hereto as Exhibit “A” and made a part hereof; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto. 7. Contracts for Consideration per Council Rule 57 – Lease Agreement between the Office of the Independent Police Monitor and 2714 Canal Building, LLC for office space for a term of three years and cost of $56,000 per year.
