2. Approval of Minutes - Approval of the minutes from the April 27, 2026 meeting.
3. Presentation: New Orleans Recreation Development Commission (NORDC) - Presenters: Larry Barabino Jr., Chief Executive Officer; Natasha Robinson, Chief Program Officer - An in-depth overview of NORDC’s summer programming, including recreational, educational, and enrichment opportunities available to youth across New Orleans. The presentation will highlight program accessibility, geographic reach, partnerships, and the role these initiatives play in promoting public safety, youth engagement, and positive community outcomes during the summer months.
4. Presentation: Heroes of New Orleans - Presenter: Greg Ravy, Director - An overview of the organization’s mission, programming, and community impact, with a focus on youth-centered initiatives. The presentation will detail mentorship opportunities, violence prevention efforts, and structured activities designed to provide safe, supportive environments for young people during the summer.
5. Presentation: Cultivating Youth - Presenter: Mack Terrance Sr., Founder/Executive Director - A comprehensive overview of programs aimed at empowering youth through leadership development, life skills training, and community engagement. The presentation will emphasize summer offerings, including workforce readiness, mentorship, and initiatives intended to reduce risk factors and increase opportunities for positive youth development.
6. Presentation: Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development – Office of Business & External Affairs - Presenter: Karmen L McKinley, Director of Youth Initiatives - An overview of youth workforce development initiatives and summer employment opportunities coordinated through the Mayor’s Office of Workforce Development. The presentation will highlight programs designed to connect young people with job training, career pathways, and paid work experiences, as well as partnerships with local businesses and community organizations that support skill-building, economic mobility, and long-term employment outcomes for youth.
