NEW ORLEANS - Community members are invited to attend upcoming public meetings to provide valuable input on the future of West End and the surrounding areas. There will be two meetings on February 18 and February 19 - one in Jefferson Parish, and one in Orleans Parish. See below for additional details.

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council will hold a special meeting on Tuesday, February 11, 2025. The purpose of the meeting is to discuss the November 2024 settlement between the City of New Orleans and the Orleans Parish School Board (OPSB), the state of the General Fund in the City’s Operating Budget, federal funding, and sudden alleged budget shortfalls.

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council is notifying the public that the position of Registrar of Voters for Orleans Parish has become vacant.

The New Orleans City Council is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals seeking an appointment as the Registrar of Voters. A qualified applicant is a registered voter who satisfies the experience and/or education requirements established in Section 18:52(B) of the Louisiana Election Code.

Public Notice is hereby given that the Council of the City of New Orleans will consider at its regular meeting of January 30, 2025 at 10:00 a.m., in the Council Chamber, City Hall, the adoption of Ordinance Calendar No. 34,971 introduced at the meeting of January 9, 2025.

SAID ORDINANCE would change the zoning districts of the properties that are the subject of Master Plan Future Land Use Map amendment application numbers PD13-02 through PD13-14, to R-RE Rural Real Estate District or S-RS Suburban Single-Family Residential District, if not so currently zoned; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.
