NEW ORLEANS, LA - The City Council continued its 2027 Proposed Budget Hearings on Monday, October 5, 2026, with additional hearings held on October 7 and 8. During Week 2 of Budget Season, the Council received presentations on the 5-year Capital Improvement Plan, the Capital Budget, the Capital Projects Administration, and much more.

NEW ORLEANS, LA - Beginning Tuesday, September 29, 2026, the City Council held the first of many 2027 Proposed Budget Hearing meetings, with a second meeting on Wednesday, September 30. On Tuesday, the Council heard presentations regarding a Tax Levy Ordinance as well as presentations from the Department of Finance, the Chief Administrative Office, and Civil Service. On Wednesday, the Orleans Parish Coroner gave a presentation, as did Public Safety departments such as the New Orleans Police Department (NOPD), New Orleans Fire Department, and more.

NEW ORLEANS, LA - During Week Four of the 2026 budget season, the Council held Proposed Budget Hearings on November 4 and 5. During those final two days, the Council received presentations from departments such as the Law Department, the New Orleans Council on Aging, the Office of Homeless Services and Strategies, and more.
