Council Utility Chair Announces the Start of Independent Investigation of Entergy New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS - Utility Committee Chair and Council Vice-President Helena Moreno announced today that the professional services agreement between the Council, Sher, Garner, Cahill, Richter, & Klein, LLC (Sher Garner) and Judge Calvin Johnson (Judge Johnson) was signed today formally initiating the independent investigation into allegations with Entergy New Orleans (ENO).

Council Utilities Committee Holds Special Meeting to Obtain Answers from Entergy New Orleans

On Thursday, June 28, Utility, Cable, Telecommunications and Technology (UCTT) Committee Chair Helena Moreno will convene a special committee meeting to focus on the lack of progress - and answers - from Entergy New Orleans (ENO) on two key issues: reliability and renewables. Over the past several years, the New Orleans community through the City Council have asked ENO to make significant progress on remediating the unacceptable level of "clear skies" power outages and reliability issues; and on securing a substantial investment in clean, renewable power generation capabilities.

Council Utility Chair Conveys Demand for Documents in Connection with Independent Investigation of Entergy Allegations

Newly-named Utility Committee Chair and Council Vice-President Helena Moreno formally advised Entergy New Orleans (ENO) via letter of the deadline to produce documents and materials in relation to the independent investigation of ENO's actions during the New Orleans Power Station (NOPS) process, which was unanimously approved at the meeting on May 24.
