NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council will pass the 2025 Executive Budget at its
regular meeting on Thursday, November 21, at 10 a.m. This comprehensive budget,
shepherded by Budget Chair and District A Councilmember Joe Giarrusso together with
all members of the Council, fills immediate needs for residents and securely positions
the City of New Orleans for an uncertain future.

NEW ORLEANS — New Orleans City Council Budget Chair Joseph I. Giarrusso III and Chief
Administrative Officer Gilbert Montaño have collaborated to introduce an amendment to
the 2024 Proposed Executive Budget after weeks of working with Mayor LaToya Cantrell's
administration, the City Council, New Orleans residents, and stakeholders.

New Orleans City Council Adopts 2019 City Budget with Significant Funding for New Initiatives

NEW ORLEANS - At today's regular meeting, the City Council adopted the City's 2019 Operating and Capital Budgets concluding the annual budget review process and establishing spending levels for the coming fiscal year. Prior to the meeting, the City held a Revenue Estimating Conference to update the 2019 revenue forecast and capture newly identified sources of revenue that would allow the City to fund the proposed amendments.

NEW ORLEANS - In accordance with Section 3-115 of the Home Rule Charter of the City of New Orleans, the New Orleans City Council will hold hearings on the Mayor's proposed 2019 Budget beginning on Friday, Nov. 9, 2018, at 9 a.m. in the Council Chamber. All budget meetings will be advertised on the Council's website and open to the public.
