NEW ORLEANS, LA - On Tuesday, September 22, 2026, the Joint Utility, Cable, Telecommunications and Technology, Governmental Affairs and Budget, Audit, and Board of Review Committee convened to appoint several applications to various boards and commissions and discuss several pieces of legislation. The committee also heard a presentation from the Chief Administrator's Office.

NEW ORLEANS, LA – On Thursday, September 9, the Council held a joint Governmental Affairs, Public Works, Sanitation, and Environment, and Budget/August/Board of Review Committee meeting. During the meeting, the committees appointed several applicants to various boards and commissions. The committees also discussed several pieces of legislation and heard a monthly report from the Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO), the Department of Public Works (DPW), and the Public Utility Modernization Process (PUMPS).

NEW ORLEANS, LA - On Thursday, August 13, 2026, the Governmental Affairs Committee convened to discuss and vote on various board and commission appointments, as well as Sewerage and Water Board of New Orleans (SWBNO) arbitration appeals. Additionally, the committee considered a professional service agreement between the City and Canalese-Rojas Law, PLLC.

NEW ORLEANS, LA - On Wednesday, August 5, 2026, the Council held a Joint Budget/Audit/Board of Review and Governmental Affairs Committee meeting to discuss the latest financial update from the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO). Additionally, the committee voted on an ordinance regarding periodic reporting on the New Orleans Police Department's (NOPD) drone use, among other matters.

At the start of the meeting, committee members entered Executive Session to discuss ongoing litigation.
