Thank you for giving me the opportunity to serve you as your City Councilmember for District A. This first month has been an incredible learning experience for my staff and me as we’ve heard your concerns at neighborhood association meetings, and through your calls, emails, and letters. 

On Monday, June 25, 2018, the Sewerage and Water Board (S&WB) will attend the Council's Public Works Committee meeting to present its quarterly report. The presentation is the result of Resolution R-18-182, which was authored by District "A" Councilmember Joe Giarrusso and adopted by the Council on May 24, underscoring a letter that the Council sent to the S&WB relative to its compliance with statutorily required quarterly reports.

On Thursday, May 10 the New Orleans City Council delivered a letter to the Interim Executive Director of the Sewerage and Water Board, Marcie Edwards, as well other senior Sewerage and Water Board leadership. The letter, initiated and drafted by Councilmember Joe Giarrusso and including guidance and consent from all councilmembers, spells out the councilmembers' expectations for compliance with statutorily required quarterly reports.
