NEW ORLEANS - Join District "E" Councilwoman Cyndi Nguyen and Susheel Kumar with the U.S. Small Business Administration to discuss available Small Business Administration (SBA) programs and resources.
Currently, both the Economic Injury Disaster Loans administered by the SBA and 7a Paycheck Protection Loans administered by local lenders are paused due to lack of funding.
However, Councilwoman Nguyen would like to advise businesses to get their application documentation in order if they are looking to apply in the future. As soon as more funding is approved, submit your application or call your lender immediately. If you don't have a lender, try a local or regional lender. We will put out a list of local and regional lenders administering 7a loans when more funding is made available.
These small group sessions will have no more than 10 businesses at a time for a 30-minute Zoom conference to allow for more thorough Q&A sessions. Sessions will be grouped by industry or preferred language. Part of the small group session to include conversations around re-imagining business following COVID-19. This includes evaluating potential designs to help future sustainability and ideas to build customer confidence and spending ability following the crisis.
