Councilmember Palmer and Partners to Host Food Pantries This Friday and Saturday

NEW ORLEANS- District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer would like to remind residents that she will host two food pantries for families and individuals impacted by COVID-19 on Friday, August 28, and Saturday, August 29. On Friday, the food pantry will be held at the Arthur Monday Center in Algiers and on Saturday, at the Mahalia Jackson. 

 

The food pantries are in partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank, World Central Kitchen, and Culture Aid NOLA. The three organizations have provided more than 397,083 pounds of food, and donated 99,500 individual meals to residents across the city. 
 

No documentation is required to receive a food pantry box, and walk-ups are welcome. Volunteers are also needed to continue the emergency food distribution sites. If you would like to assist, call (504) 658-1030 between Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM.
