NEW ORLEANS, LA — Councilmember Hughes is hosting two community meetings to gather resident input regarding the proposed sanitation fee increase. The meetings will provide residents with an opportunity to learn more about the proposal, ask questions and share feedback before further consideration of the fee increase.

"This is a major decision that will directly impact every household in our city, and before I cast my vote, I want to hear directly from the people I represent," said Councilman Jason Hughes. "These town halls are about making sure District E residents understand what is being proposed, have the opportunity to ask questions, and most importantly, have their voices heard. A decision of this magnitude should not be made without hearing from the community first."
