NEW ORLEANS - City Council President Helena Moreno has issued the following statement with updates on the scheduled meeting this week: 

"It is the Council's aim for the final regular City Council meeting of the year, scheduled for Thursday, December 19, to proceed as planned. 

Due to limited access to technology, the Council will only take up matters of extreme sensitivity. This second meeting of the month allows the Council to meet its City Charter legal obligation of two meetings per month. 

Public notice and the agenda will be forthcoming and in compliance with the open meetings law. "
