Councilmember Morrell Partners With N.O. Food Policy Council to Host Holiday Food Drive

NEW ORLEANS, LA -  Councilmember Morrell is kicking off a two-week holiday food drive to help address food insecurity across the city in collaboration with the New Orleans Food Policy Council (NOFPC), a local nonprofit organization and the official advisory body on matters of food and agriculture for the New Orleans City Council.

From December 15 to 23, residents can donate and drop off non-perishable food items at Press Street Gardens: 7 Homer Plessy Way, New Orleans, LA 70117. Drop-off hours are 9 am to 5 pm.

Residents can also donate via Venmo (@nolafpac) to the New Orleans Food Policy Council. Direct monetary donations allow the NOFPC to distribute funds to our feeding partners so that they can purchase food in bulk and lower costs. If your organization or business would like to donate large quantities of food, please contact Margee Green at 985.373.6188
