City Council Issues Request for Qualifications for Water Services Financial Analysis

Seal of the City of New Orleans

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council has issued a Request for Qualifications (RFQ) for accounting/auditing firms to advise the Council on water services financial analysis. The ideal firm should have a comprehensive understanding of existing accounting and collection practices, financial resources and budgetary status of the Sewerage & Water Board (S&WB), appropriate auditing/accounting improvements, and best practices that advance a public, transparent process and streamline S&WB's financial stability.

The selected advisers will be responsible for reviewing all available records, data, and statistics regarding the financial status of the S&WB, and analyze adherence to the S&WB's financial obligations to outline necessary improvements. Applicants will be required to complete and include a consultant services questionnaire, and a proposal to perform the task associated with the scope of work outlined in the RFQ.

Please note, no written or oral communications from potential applicants regarding this proposal should be submitted to any Councilmember or Council office during this process. Applicants in need of additional information may contact the City Council's Chief of Staff David Gavlinski via email at dsgavlinski@nola.gov, at least three working days before the response deadline on March 29, 2019, at 4 p.m. Late proposals will not be considered.
