NOTICE OF VACANCY FOR ORLEANS PARISH REGISTRAR OF VOTERS

NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council is notifying the public that the position of Registrar of Voters for Orleans Parish has become vacant.

The New Orleans City Council is currently accepting applications from qualified individuals seeking an appointment as the Registrar of Voters. A qualified applicant is a registered voter who satisfies the experience and/or education requirements established in Section 18:52(B) of the Louisiana Election Code.

Applicants must submit a cover letter, evidence of voter registration, a current resume with a list of references, and any other materials pertinent to the Council’s evaluation of a candidate’s qualifications, knowledge, experience, and ability. Letters of recommendation, though not required, are preferred.

Applications are due no later than 5 p.m. on January 28, 2025. Applications must be submitted in person to the Clerk of Council, 1300 Perdido Street, Room 1E09, New Orleans, Louisiana 70112.

Once the application period has closed, the Council will contact qualified applicants to schedule interviews. The Council will make a final appointment on or before March 31, 2025.
