NEW ORLEANS - New Orleans and Company, formerly known as New Orleans Convention and Visitors Bureau, is hosting a Job Fest in partnership with District "B" Councilmember Jay H. Banks at the Dryades YMCA on Wednesday, July 11. The event will feature new job openings from dozens of the industry's top employers in the hotel, restaurant and tourism industry, ranging from entry-level to managerial positions. Councilmember Banks will be in attendance at the Job Fest to greet job seekers. Interested attendees are encouraged to bring an updated resume, though it is not required.

This event is the fifth Job Fest hosted by New Orleans and Company in 2018 and is part of a bigger list of events promoting local advocacy in the city, including job shadow opportunities, tourism advocacy training, and more.

WHAT: 2018 Job Fest to allow participants to meet with a variety of employers from hotels, restaurants, and other tourism fields.
WHEN: Wednesday, July 11 from 12 p.m. to 3 p.m.
WHERE: Dryades YMCA, 2220 Oretha C Haley Blvd, New Orleans, LA 70113
WHY: Attending a Hospitality and Tourism Job Fest is the first step toward building a meaningful and long-lasting career as part of the Hospitality and Tourism team. Tourism provides thousands of satisfying jobs in fields like guest relations, finance, administration, housekeeping, food and beverage service and beyond. Each job offers an opportunity for growth to move up in a company while enjoying employee benefits and the peace of mind that comes with a steady paycheck. A job in hospitality and tourism - which can start by a visit to Job Fest - is the basis for a lasting and fulfilling career in New Orleans.
