NEW ORLEANS - District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer has released her annual report (May 2019 - May 2020), which provides a review of legislative achievements, new initiatives, and significant milestones throughout her district. The report highlights legislative accomplishments that have improved the lives of New Orleanians, such as overhauling the City's Short Term Rental program, updating laws to improve the safe operation of businesses selling alcohol, and clearing a 15-year blighted building in Algiers.
"This annual report reflects on the work that we've done, the future we're building and the impact legislation that is helping to improve the lives of not just District C residents, but for all New Orleanians. I am proud of the accomplishments we've made this past year despite an unprecedented pandemic that severely impacted the city's residents and our tourism and hospitality industry. But our city is resilient, and we have made important and significant investments, as this report shows. I look forward to continuing my commitment to serving the citizens of New Orleans, and residents of District C," said Councilmember Palmer.
