NEW ORLEANS - Since the start of COVID-19, keeping the community informed has been a top priority of District "E" Councilwoman Cyndi Nguyen's. She has routinely hosted her special Facebook Live every Sunday through Monday at 7 PM to provide COVID-19 updates and connect with residents to better understand community needs.
Starting this week, Facebook Live will be reduced to Tuesday, Thursday, and Sunday at 7 PM on Councilwoman Nguyen's page here. These important sessions with the District E community will help to build strategies to address pressing needs and guide businesses during the phased reopening.
"Our office is committed to continuing our work even in the face of challenges such as COVID-19. We are reducing the number of Facebook Lives to allow families more time together, because District E is Where Family Always Comes First. I enjoy connecting with my constituents during Facebook Live, which was implemented in January 2018 as a promise I made to engage our community in a creative way. We will continue to do so during this pandemic and beyond," said Councilwoman Nguyen.
