NEW ORLEANS, LA — On Tuesday, June 23, 2026, the Economic Development and Special Development Projects Committee met to consider a proposed Payment-In-Lieu-of-Taxes (PILOT) agreement for The Rivana Apartments, an affordable housing development planned for the River District.

Representatives from the Office of Economic Development (OED), the Office of Community Development, and the development team presented details of the project, which describes the PILOT program, the fiscal impacts, job creation, and economic impact. The OED recommended approval of the proposed PILOT lease agreement for Rivana Apartments.

Following committee discussion, questions from members, and public comment, the committee did not hold a vote on the Resolution. It will be heard for consideration by the full council at the July 9th Regular Meeting.
