NEW ORLEANS - On June 2, the District E office will join Sharp Men NOLA, Motivation Team, Level Water, Dario Construction, Verizon, and Reaching for the Stars to provide a complimentary lunch of tacos and water to employees at the City's Sanitation Department, Parks and Parkways, Fire Department, and New Orleans Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control Department, to show appreciation for their countless efforts as it relates to COVID-19 and continuing a positive quality of life for residents.
"New Orleans has seen her fair share of disaster, and like always because of our first responders, we are able to recover. That's why it was important for Reaching for the Stars Foundation to acknowledge our local stars who are shining during this pandemic," said Brian Randolph, CEO of Reaching for the Stars.
"It is important to acknowledge that these jobs are essential for our city to continue functioning. Safety and quality of life are always priorities for these departments, and this is a way to show our appreciation," said Councilwoman Nguyen.
