NEW ORLEANS - Two years ago, on May 7, 2018, Councilwoman Cyndi Nguyen took her oath of office to serve District E, consisting of New Orleans East, the Lower Ninth Ward, and Lake Catherine/Venetian Isles. Today, she is renewing her commitment to the District and welcoming feedback on her first two years to better guide the next two.
Since day one, Councilwoman Nguyen has prioritized being accessible to the community and transparent in her work to show constituents what it really means to work for the people. This date also marks the halfway point in this Council term.
"We have made enormous progress in the past two years. Our primary focus has been reaching constituents where they are, hearing their concerns, and doing everything our office can to address or correct the issues," said Councilwoman Nguyen. "We want to make sure that we are working for the people and prioritizing their concerns for the betterment of the District."
Councilwoman Nguyen wants to take this time for feedback and reflection on the past two years and to hear from the community their top priorities for the next two. Please consider completing this brief online evaluation to help guide the Councilwoman in her work here. Responses will be due by Sunday, June 7.
"In the past several weeks due to COVID-19, our day to day operations have changed, but not our commitment to the community," Councilwoman Nguyen continued. "I am looking forward to the next two years serving District E, where family always comes first."
