NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans City Council will hold a press conference on Monday, Nov. 5th at 2 p.m. in the Council Chamber to announce the launch of its new website. Additionally, City Council Public Safety Analyst Jeff Asher will present the site's crime dashboard, a public-facing crime data system, to inform residents of how to utilize this new and powerful resource tool.

The new Council website marks a vast improvement, both aesthetically and functionally, to the current site that it will replace. The new site was designed and will be maintained by public servants, replacing the previous privately hosted platform which operates on an antiquated architecture more than ten years old.
