NEW ORLEANS- Three years after approving its development, I take immense pride in the reality of the Capdau Home for the Aged at the original Pierre A. Capdau School site at 3821 Franklin Ave. 

The Capdau school site has a tremendous past, but now it has an even brighter future as a home for one of New Orleans' most valued resources.  

Capdau school was designed in 1922 and chartered in collaboration with the University of New Orleans in 2003 before it closed in 2010.
