City Council President Jason Williams and District "D" Councilmember Jared Brossett to Host Know Your Rights Forum on October 19

NEW ORLEANS - Councilmembers Jason Williams and Jared Brossett, alongside Orleans Public Defenders and The Juror Project, are launching the Know Your Rights series this Friday, Oct. 19 with the United in Our Rights: Empowering Equality Forum. The event, which is taking place in conjunction with Dillard University's 12th Annual Housing, Health and Community Resources Fair, is free and open to the public.

The Forum will feature a role-playing scenario and presentation outlining the criminal justice system and the rights within it, as well as give community members the opportunity to ask questions and better know their rights.
