NEW ORLEANS- In partnership with Second Harvest Food Bank and Culture Aid NOLA, District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer will host two food pantries for families and individuals impacted by COVID-19 on October Friday,16, and Saturday 17. No documentation is required to receive a food pantry box, and walk-ups are welcome. Volunteers are also needed to continue food distribution sites. If you would like to assist, call (504) 658-1030 between Monday - Friday, 9 AM to 4 PM.
Second Harvest Food Bank is the leading food source provider for food banks across the city, including District C's two weekly food distributions. With additional meals and volunteers from World Central Kitchen and Culture Aid NOLA, the food distribution sites in District C have provided more than 437,502 pounds of food and donated 104,750 meals to residents financially impacted by COVID-19.
