NEW ORLEANS, LA - On Monday, October 20, 2025, the Budget, Audit, and Board of Review Committee met to discuss Amendment No. 1 of the Master Services Agreement with OpenGov, Inc., as well as take a vote on Motion M-25-544.
Committee Reviews Contract and Motion
To start the meeting, the Committee heard from Kyle Homan of the Project Delivery Unit regarding Amendment No. 1 to the OpenGov, Inc. Master Services Agreement. This amendment will add more funding to the contract for implementing an asset management system and extend the agreement through June 26, 2027. The additional funding totals $231,000, which has been budgeted through bond sales for 2026. The Committee recommended this item for approval.
Next, the Committee recommended approval of Motion M-25-544. Through this motion, the Council will grant the Office of the Inspector General (OIG) a one-time exemption from the city’s 2025 ban on purchasing fossil-fuel-powered passenger vehicles. The exemption allows the OIG to acquire a non–zero–emissions vehicle due to a lack of charging infrastructure and other public safety considerations.
Both items will be added to the Consent Agenda for the October 23 regular Council meeting.
