NEW ORLEANS - District "E" Councilmember Cyndi Nguyen will join GNO, Inc. for an international business exchange in the country of Colombia September 10-13, 2019, in its capital and largest city - Bogota. The "Connecting in Colombia" initiative is intended to foster a deeper understanding of the country's economy while exploring commerce opportunities for Louisiana stakeholders.

The Louisiana delegation includes Councilmember Nguyen and elected officials, corporate executives, education and other top community leaders. While in Bogota, the delegation will hear from local experts, corporate and government entities on a number of key economic development issues, including the digital and technology sector, the entrepreneurial ecosystem, the convergence of higher education and workforce development, large-scale infrastructure projects, international trade, community revitalization and social reforms, and more.

"Connecting in Colombia" is a prime opportunity to develop meaningful connections with Colombian leaders, learn about innovative economic strategies influencing the country's global competitiveness, and explore the vibrant cultural synergies between Colombia and Louisiana.
