NEW ORLEANS - Councilmembers Moreno and Glapion have teamed up with several organizations to hold an emergency supplies distribution site today, Tuesday, September 7, at GW Carver High School from 5 PM - 7 PM, or until supplies run out.
The site will be located in the parking lot at GW Carver High School on Higgins Boulevard. Volunteers will distribute hot meals from World Central Kitchen, cell phones with 30 days of free service from T-Mobile, ice bags donated by Congressman Troy Carter, water donated by United Way of SELA and essential item kits from Red Cross. Residents affected by Hurricane Ida are welcome to walk up or drive up.
Councilmembers Moreno and Glapion are extremely grateful for their participating partners' generous contributions and for Sheriff Marlin Gusman's tent donations.
