NEW ORLEANS - District "D" Councilmember Jared C. Brossett will hold two food distributions this week for residents impacted by Hurricane Ida. Councilmember Brossett is partnering with Ray’s on the Avenue and Restaurant Depot for the first distribution, and it will take place on Wednesday, September 15, from 1 PM to 3 PM at Ray’s on the Avenue. He will join New Hope Baptist Church, Pastor Jamaal Weathersby and Second Harvest Food Bank for the second distribution scheduled for Friday, September 17, at 1:30 PM at New Hope Baptist Church.
Councilmember Brossett continues to partner with local businesses, community organizations, emergency response groups, and faith-based organizations to meet the needs of those still recovering from Hurricane Ida. While New Orleans is making encouraging steps forward, Councilmember Brossett will continue to prioritize those who were hardest hit in the area and those who need the most support to return to normalcy.
