NEW ORLEANS - District "E" Councilmember Cyndi Nguyen wants residents to be aware of required transmission maintenance on the Sherwood Forest Substation taking place Monday, September 27 through Wednesday, December 1 to replace one of the transformers.

The maintenance project affects power flows to approximately 10,349 customers, but no customer outages are expected while the maintenance is being performed. In the event of an unexpected situation, Entergy will switch to other feeders, and all affected customers will be returned to service within approximately 6 hours.    

For customers who are served by this particular transformer, Entergy is planning to switch as many as possible to an alternate power source before maintenance begins. All customers in the area have been notified of the upcoming work.
