This Motion authorizes the City of New Orleans’ (“City”) and the President of the City Council to enter into an agreement between the City and SimX, Inc. with a term of three (3) years beginning 08/01/2024 and ending 07/31/2027 and total amount of $43,600 to provide training equipment and training services to New Orleans Emergency Medical Services. This company has a DBE waiver. (Ref. Ord. Cal. Nos. 34,580 and 34,581)

This Motion authorizes an Amendment #2 with the legal firm of Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, LLC for continued outside legal counsel regarding Agriculture Street and Gordon Plaza subdivision, specifically the acquisition of properties for the purpose of building solar farms for the total aggregate amount of $459,250.00 in order to extend the term for continuity of services for one (1) year and increase amount payable by $50,750.00.  The President of the Council shall also be added as a signatory and authorized to sign the Amendment No. 2 to the professional services agreement between the City of New Orleans and Sher Garner Cahill Richter Klein & Hilbert, LLC.

These Ordinances amend Ordinance Nos. 29735 M.C.S. and 29736 M.C.S., as amended, entitled “An Ordinance providing an Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the City of New Orleans for the Year 2024” to appropriate State Act 170 funds to the Office of the Mayor for the Family of Hope Center to support the Evening Reporting Center and its parent components and provide NOPD with additional resources to engage with the community in protecting residents and visitors; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Description:  These Ordinances transfer $100,000 from Intergovernmental Revenues (Fund 6699) - State Act Funding (Fund 1184) to the Office of the Mayor (Fund 1184) in Other Operating (200).

These Ordinances amend Ordinance Nos. 29735 M.C.S. and 29736 M.C.S., as amended, entitled “An Ordinance providing an Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the City of New Orleans for the Year 2024” to appropriate additional funds to the Office of Police and Secondary Employment to cover the increase in Reserve Officers working secondary details, promotional increases, upgrade existing application programming interface systems and computer equipment; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Description:  These Ordinances transfer $1,283,000 from Intergovernmental Revenues (Fund 6699) to the Office of Police Secondary Employment (Fund 1145) in Other Operating (200).

These Ordinances amend Ordinance Nos. 29735 M.C.S. and 29736 M.C.S., as amended, entitled “An Ordinance providing an Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the City of New Orleans for the Year 2024” to appropriate grant funds from the U. S. Department of Labor to the Office of Workforce Investment to assist job seekers and employers by providing career and training services in Orleans Parish; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Description:  These Ordinances transfer $200,000 from Intergovernmental Revenues (Fund 6699) - Department of Labor (Fund 4130) to Workforce Investment in Other Operating (200).

11.  Ord. Cal. No. 34,685 (Introduced May 16, 2024)

This Ordinance amends Ordinance No. 29,736 M.C.S., as amended, entitled “An Ordinance providing an Operating Budget of Expenditures for the City of New Orleans for the Year 2024” to transfer appropriation from the New Orleans Health Department to the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission for the Summer Youth Feeding Program; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Description:  This Ordinance transfers $200,000 from the Health Department (Fund 1000) - Essential Public Health Services (3631) and Other Operating (200) to the New Orleans Recreation Development Commission in NORD Administration (7001) and Other Operating (200).

12.  Ord. Cal. Nos 34,691 and 34,692 (Introduced May 16, 2024)

These Ordinances amend Ordinance Nos. 29735 M.C.S. and 29736 M.C.S., as amended, entitled “An Ordinance providing an Operating Budget of Revenues and Expenditures for the City of New Orleans for the Year 2024” to appropriate unspent funds in Fund 1155 to Mosquito, Termite and Rodent Control to cover expenses from Fiscal Year 2023; and otherwise to provide with respect thereto.

Description:  These Ordinances transfer $237,441 from Intergovernmental Revenues (Fund 6699) to Termite Control (Fund 1155)/Mosquito Control Board in Other Operating (200).
