Teleconferenced Council Meeting Process
  • At the beginning of the meeting, the moderator will read aloud the entire council agenda.
  • The meeting will then recess for 30 minutes so that members of the public may submit public comment on any agenda item.
  • Once the 30-minute recess has ended, no more public comment will be accepted, and the Council will proceed to the agenda.
  • The consent agenda will be read in full and voted on as a whole, communications and reports will be received, and land use items and ordinances on the consent agenda will be approved or denied. Only items that have been passed unanimously are on the consent agenda.
  • You can submit public comment on items on the consent agenda and they will be read following the item.
  • There are limited essential items on the regular agenda that will be taken up and voted on individually following the consent agenda. Public comment will be read following a motion on the item, before the vote.
  • Once the items on the regular agenda are read and voted on, there will be a motion to suspend the rules so that items on first read can be accepted. The items on first read will be read into the record, and all items on first read will be addressed at future meetings.
  • The meeting will be adjourned.
Following this rescheduled meeting on a Wednesday, all meetings will be on the regular schedule of meetings on the first and third Thursdays of each month, with exceptions for holidays. The following meeting will be Thursday, May 7, 2020.
