NEW ORLEANS - Due to the closure of Second Harvest Food Bank in observance of the Fourth of July holiday, District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer will not host food pantries this week. Food pantries scheduled in District C for Friday, July 3, at Arthur Monday Center and Saturday, July 4 at Holy Angels, are cancelled this week. Both food pantries will resume the following week.
Councilmember Palmer partnered with Second Harvest Food Bank, World Central Kitchen and Culture Aid NOLA to offer weekly meals and non-perishable food items for residents affected by COVID-19. Since March, the weekly food pantries in District "C" have provided more than 19,000 meals and 20,000 food boxes for families across the city.
Councilmember Palmer is reminding residents that there are food pantries available in Council Districts B and E this week. You can find the times and locations listed below.
