Councilwoman Cyndi Nguyen Receives Donation of 28,800 Face Masks for Distribution
NEW ORLEANS - Alex Nguyen,  a local small business owner that runs Creamistry Metairie and Creamistry Baton Rouge, has purchased 28,800 masks to assist the community in stopping the spread of COVID-19 and reached out to Councilwoman Nguyen to coordinate distribution to those who need it most.

*Please note: there is no personal relation between Mr. Nguyen and Councilwoman Nguyen.*

Mr. Nguyen made this donation to help everyone who has limited access to face masks, and each mask comes individually wrapped and can be washed and reused. "We can see the light at the end of the tunnel now. The city is starting to open again. By donating these masks to the community, the light only gets brighter. Wearing the mask shows that we are fighting the virus together and supporting our frontline workers," said Mr. Nguyen.

Councilwoman Cyndi Nguyen recommends wearing a cloth mask at all times when out in the community performing essential activities. She would also like to remind the business community that Governor Edwards has mandated all employees that interact with the public are required to wear face masks.

"We would like to thank Mr. Nguyen for making this donation to help underserved families in the community with access to face masks," said Councilwoman Nguyen. "We are stronger as a community, and a city, when we come together to help each other during a time of crisis."
