NEW ORLEANS- Councilmember Palmer is seriously concerned with the recent request from Entergy New Orleans (ENO) to increase rates for its customers, particularly those who live in Algiers.

Councilmember Palmer is hosting her first Coffee and Conversation with Kristin tomorrow, July 13th from 8:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at Congregation Coffee in Algiers. 

July is an important month for District C as I continue moving forward with making changes to the city’s Short-Term Rental (STR) program. My office has received numerous phone calls and emails from you about the two STR motions approved by the Council back in May.

In this newsletter, I’m addressing some of your questions by clarifying the three categories of STR licenses issued by the city. 

A public hearing for comments on the City Planning Commission's (CPCs) Short-Term Rentals (STRs) study has been scheduled for Tuesday, July 10, 2018, at 3 p.m. The hearing is in accordance with requirements of Motion M-18-194 authored by District "C" Councilmember Kristin Gisleson Palmer and approved by the full Council on May 25.
