NEW ORLEANS - The New Orleans Power Station (NOPS) may soon be up for further review by the New Orleans City Council. In 2018, the Entergy New Orleans peaking power plant was approved by the previous Council before the paid actor scandal was uncovered. Councilmember Helena Moreno has issued the following statement on the matter:

NEW ORLEANS  - Today, Councilmember Helena Moreno announced she would be filing a resolution calling upon the NFL to ignite a thorough review of officiating rules, the use of replay technology, and an evaluation of how the NFL assesses conflicts of interest within the Officiating Department. The Saints season was effectively ended by an inexplicably "missed" pass interference call in Sunday's NFC Championship game. All Councilmembers have joined on as co-sponsors.

The decision was carefully considered by each member, who voted to approve the proposal last March. Unfortunately, some subsequent revelations have prompted further attention by the Council.
