(NEW ORLEANS, LA) -New Orleans City Councilmembers respond to erroneous claims made by Henry Consulting and the Cantrell Administration that the former will assume the French Quarter sanitation contract.

(NEW ORLEANS, LA) - New Orleans City Councilmembers released the below statements following the Civil Service Commission’s reinstatement of Former Clerk of Council Lora Johnson after she was originally terminated due to sexual harassment allegations. 

NEW ORLEANS - In partnership with the Parks & Parkways Department, the New Orleans City Council is reminding parade-goers of enforcement measures that will be implemented on the route. Although the Council granted discretion to the NOPD in regards to Mardi Gras enforcement, the law has not been suspended and is in full effect.

NEW ORLEANS - Councilmember At-Large JP Morrell has issued the following statement about the potential displacement of Grow Dat Youth Program:

Today, Council President Helena Moreno, Vice-President J.P. Morrell, and Councilmembers Lesli Harris and Joe Giarrusso announced the release of a compilation of action items to address surging violent crime in our communities. These Councilmembers will continue to receive feedback from the public and collaborate with the full Council on solutions, noting that public safety is the Council’s top priority.
